QUALITY AND HEALTH

At Embutidos La Hoguera we understand quality as "the search for excellence through continuous efforts in all areas of the company and all its employees to create, manufacture and market products that not only meet the requirements set by our customers, but exceed their expectations by ensuring food safety, environmental friendliness and commitment to our social surroundings.

In terms of health, our products are healthy because they are made from healthy pigs that live peacefully on our land and are not subjected to stressful travel or manipulation. Moreover, their cereal-based diet is rich in vitamins and proteins and contains no saturated fats (cholesterol).

Obviously, our products are not genetically engineered and do not contain trans fats. They are made from the highest quality ingredients and characterized by polyunsaturated fats, which benefit health.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLINESS

The company currently has pressure outlets in the entire internal sanitary network, which are equipped with devices for solids retention.

All the waste water, prior to being discharged, is fed to a pre-treatment or pre-purification plant located in the industrial area, which is equipped with a sieve and a grease separator box. After this treatment, the water is fed into the general network, from where it is sent to the treatment plant. We strictly adhere to the applicable environmental regulations:

 

  • Discharges into the grid with waste treatment system, removal of curing water and municipal sewage treatment plants

  • We do not use any CFCs in the refrigeration system.

  • Removal of bones and by-products of cutting by approved companies.

  • Collection of plastic and cardboard waste, all reused and recycled by an authorised company.

 

FUTURE STRATEGY

In 2012, despite the severe crisis afflicting the country, Embutidos La Hoguera decided to create and consolidate jobs, increase investments and constantly fight for continuous improvement, food safety and the quality of its products. 

2013 became the key year for the development of Embutidos La Hoguera, because after the first 25 years of its existence, a new phase began in which the company's strategy was further strengthened from keeping the company SOLID, PROFITABLE and FORWARD-LOOKING, on the basis of the following objectives:

 

  • sustainable development in a rural environment,

  • innovation,

  • R+D+I,

  • environmental friendliness,

  • a work-life balance
